The Designer Awards celebrates residential and commercial design projects in the UK and worldwide. Now in its 19th year, the established event attracts world-renowned designers and architects as well as senior professionals within the design industry.
On Friday 12th November 2021, The Designer Awards took place at The Grand Connaught Rooms, London. Hundreds of the industry’s leading designers, manufacturers and other influential figures attended the glitzy ceremony, which was hosted by celebrity guest, Fred Sirieix.
The top-ranked projects from across the diverse range of categories includes some of the most talented designers working across residential and commercial interior projects and each has successfully come through a rigorous judging process to be in with a chance of winning one of the industry’s top design honours.
Martin Allen-Smith, Editor of Designer, said: “Once again, we’ve been impressed with the quantity and quality of entries, particularly given the immense challenges faced by everyone in the sector over the past 18 months or so.
“We are delighted to be able to announce this year’s finalists, and offer them our congratulations on a huge achievement in reaching this stage. These projects really do represent some of the finest work by immensely talented designers and we wish them the very best of luck.”
Winners will be revealed the 19th annual Designer Awards, which takes place on 12 November at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden – marking the return of the event to a live presentation following last year’s virtual awards ceremony. Allen-Smith added: “We can’t wait to welcome our finalists, sponsors, and all other guests to the Designer Awards in November for a long-overdue celebration of the superb creativity that exists in our industry.”

The very best new products from across the kitchen, bathroom and commercial sectors have been selected from a huge number of entries, with manufacturers demonstrating their commitment to new product development throughout what has been a challenging couple of years.
Martin Allen-Smith, Editor of Designer, said: “It has been so reassuring to see that while the world has been somewhat ‘stop-start’ during the pandemic, many of the top manufacturers have managed to maintain their commitment to new product development, bringing to market many of the great new launches that will have been in development since pre-pandemic.”
“This is exactly what the industry needs. Given that even the very best interior design projects are often only as good as the products specified within them, the development of new designs, materials, and technology provide architects and designers with the tools that they need to deliver to clients, and get things moving back to business as usual.”
A number of ‘Gold Winners’ will be selected from each of the Product Innovation Award categories and announced at the 19th annual Designer Awards, which takes place on 12 November at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden – marking the return of the event to a live presentation following last year’s virtual awards ceremony.
Allen-Smith added: “We can’t wait to thank in person the true manufacturing innovators within our industry, and recognise the trailblazing ingenuity that plays such a key role in making the creative sector tick.”
