At EFG, we’re always on the lookout for innovative solutions that enhance the modern workspace. So, when we had the opportunity to attend Testing Grounds, the exhibition by Form Us With Love Studio, during Stockholm Design Week 2024, we jumped at the chance to explore the latest in design and work culture.
Testing Grounds was curated as a pragmatic exploration into design and work, and it did not disappoint. Form Us With Love showcased a series of product systems in collaboration with Savo, Stolab, Forming Function, and Ateljé Lyktan, each offering unique insights into the evolving needs of today’s flexible workplaces.
One standout collection that caught our attention was the Nomad Collection by Forming Function. In collaboration with Form Us With Love, they addressed the challenges of our relationship with technical accessories, particularly for charging and electrical products. The result? An aesthetic, portable, and scalable ecosystem tailored to today’s flexible work life. The Nomad Collection offers a seamless blend of design, function, and adaptability, meeting the demands of diverse workplaces and catering to the needs of office nomads.
Another noteworthy collection showcased at Testing Grounds was the ALT Collection by Stolab. Stolab faced the challenge of transcending their traditional dining space identity into products that speak to architects and designers. The ALT Collection retains the classic warmth of Stolab’s designs while offering a contemporary touch for broader applications, especially in tomorrow’s offices, which blend the best from home and work.
Ateljé Lyktan’s reimagined Hood lamp, designed by Form Us With Love, also made a striking impression. The introduction of novel materials such as Hemp and Wool elevates the lamp’s aesthetic appeal while championing sustainability. This marks a significant step forward in seamlessly blending innovation with environmental responsibility, offering a renewed identity for the Hood lamp.
Finally, Spine by SAVO, designed by Form Us With Love, provides flexibility for end users and longevity for businesses through modular and sustainable design. As the world of work continues to evolve, furniture must adapt to the needs of flexible workspaces and evolving job functions. Spine offers a solution that goes beyond ergonomic considerations, catering to the changing landscape of modern work practices.
Overall, our experience at Testing Grounds was inspiring and enlightening. We witnessed firsthand the power of design to transform workspaces and enhance productivity. The collaborations showcased at the exhibition exemplified a commitment to innovation, functionality, and sustainability, qualities that resonate deeply with our ethos at EFG. We look forward to incorporating these insights into our future offerings, ensuring that our clients have access to the latest and most innovative solutions for their workspace needs.
